A 30-metre roll of natural cotton cloth used by Ayurvedic therapists to prepare Kizhi (Pinda Sweda) and Patra Pinda Sweda boluses. The cloth wraps warmed herbal powders, leaves, or grain preparations into a tied pouch for the localised sudation treatments used in Panchakarma and post-Panchakarma therapy.
Common preparations
Patra Pinda Sweda (medicinal leaves), Choorna Pinda Sweda (medicinal powders including Kottamchukkadi Choornam), Shashtika Shali Pinda Sweda (medicated rice), Jambeera Pinda Sweda (lime and warming herbs).
Use
Cut a square panel of appropriate size for the intended bolus. Place the warmed herbal preparation in the centre. Gather the corners and tie firmly with a strip of the same cloth or thread to form the pouch. Dip in warm medicated oil during application as the technique requires.

30-metre continuous roll. Cut to required size at point of use.
Care
Wash used cloth in mild detergent. Boil periodically to sterilise between treatment sessions. Store dry.
